About

Hi, I’m Lisa

My mission in life is to help managers who struggle with imposter syndrome lead with authority.  Managers play a pivotal role in the success of an organization, yet are caught in the middle as they sit at the intersection of upper management and front line employees and must find ways to balance the demands and expectations from both sides.

Long before I called myself a Coach + Consultant, those around me would ask me to help them figure out the underlying issues for their difficulties and create new strategies to move forward. As a result, I earned a reputation for supporting others by being an active listener, isolating problems and helping them develop a plan for how to lead with authority, doing what they do best. Back then, I had no idea that my life’s mission would lead to helping individuals through coaching and consulting.

For more than 25 years, I have been an educator, coach, consultant and a leader. I have a BSed in Education, a MAed in Counseling, an EdS in Administration and an EdD in Leadership. I started as a teacher, and worked my way up the ladder to an Executive Leadership position. In addition, I later expanded by skills to become a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach. Everything I have experienced, from teaching children and adults, to leading teams to coaching and training have prepared me for the work I do now.

That is how a love of helping others came to be. It was birthed from my personal struggles and successes, lessons of what works and doesn’t work and now being able to empower others to lead with authority, faster and with confidence.

My personal side

On a personal note, I am married to Randy Younce and am the mother of one adult son. I love spending time with family, traveling, am an avid reader and am extremely curious. I am naturally an introvert, terrible at idle chit chat, but love people and the chance to engage in a meaningful conversation. I am an observer of human behavior, intuitive and am keenly aware of the shifts that happen around me.

I believe in a heavy dose of self-care, including massages and daily exercise, I enjoy a good laugh with those in my book club, have an appreciation for authentic pizza and on occasion, am known to spend too much money on shoes.
